I probably would have installed the passenger side backwards were it not for the stock set-up causing me a little pause. Installing the front, you need to be sure the lower part of the spring faces the REAR of the vehicle on BOTH SIDES. Not sure I’ve seen this mentioned before, but I just about overlooked it and really would have been second guessing myself were it not for the FSM linked for download elsewhere on this site. Rear: Stock springs & shocks (for now…), Daystar 1.5” spacers, plus Firestone air bags.Īlright, I apologize ahead of time for the photo bomb, but hopefully it helps somebody else along the way. (265/70/17 Gen Grab AT2, full set of steel Shrock skids plus sliders, 3rd row)įront: Stock springs, Bilstein 5100s set to 1.75”, plus 1/4" poly top plate spacers from Wheeler’s. Netted 2” front & rear which is about what I was after.īefore (note, great day for install, huh?): I wheel almost every weekend with this setup and have never rubbed while crawling. You're rarely in that position and won't affect much at all. I turned the wheel about a quarter turn right and it stopped. I'm running a leveling kit on stock susp, same dimension tires and "lift" as you described, yesterday I put my tires and transmission in the same position (lock left) and noticed very minor rubbing like you heard. could it be that the 5100 finally settled a bit.? It is slightly coming into contact with front inner corner of the fender liner. In the last week I am noticing a slight rub with steering wheel fully turned to one side while going in reverse. Anyone with a 1.75 and 1" back spacer on 275/70/17 on trd rims? Any rubbing issues.
